Dr. Matthew Bauer is a 2011 graduate of Parker College of Chiropractic where he received his Doctor of Chiropractic and Bachelor of Science degree in Anatomy. He attended Oklahoma State University for undergraduate studies, and he is an alumnus of Sallisaw High School. He also attended Options for Animals College of Animal Chiropractic for certification in Animal Chiropractic. He is also Board Certified in Animal Chiropractic by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA).
Serving his hometown of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, and the surrounding area since 2011, Dr. Bauer is an active leader in the community, participating in the Sallisaw Chamber of Commerce, an active Board Member at Central Public Schools, and donates countless hours helping with local sports teams.
Dr. Bauer and his family—his wife, Jaime, his two beautiful daughters, Sailor and Ireland, and his son, Nash—live in Akins, Oklahoma on a ranch. They have 6 dogs, 2 cats, many horses, and a registered herd of Longhorn cattle. His interests include spending time with his wonderful family, ranching, riding horses and the great outdoors.
He believes chiropractic found him and it was a calling that brought him to choose this profession. He studied pre-vet at Oklahoma State University with intentions to attend veterinary school but was involved in a motor vehicle accident his junior year causing 2 cervical disc herniations along with severe migraine headaches. Chiropractic was the key to relieving headaches as well as the discomfort from the disc herniations. Soon, it became his passion...and then, his occupation.
With the power of Chiropractic, Dr. Bauer was able to return to living a pain free life and began his journey to become the best doctor he could possibly be. Now, it's his passion to serve the community and share the blessings of chiropractic with the world—starting right here in Sallisaw, Oklahoma!
